Nickelodeon Details Melo Collaboration, Teletubbies and Comic-Con Information

A string of news happened for Nickelodeon and some might surprise you.

New York Knickerbockers (Knicks) Carmelo Anothy will work on a new product line with Nick after taking a role in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 film.  The product line, Turtles by Melo, will have a slew of items including clothing and video games.  Melo talked about his enthusiasm for the line, “The Turtles were such a huge part of my childhood, so to now be partnering with Nickelodeon on ‘Turtles by Melo’ is honestly something I never could have imagined. I watch with my son.”  The product line plans to launch with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, in Spring 2016.

In other news, Nickelodeon will now also have Teletubbies on their networks.  Part of a Nick Jr. acquisition, Nick will have the on-demand and network rights to the new series.  It will have 60 new episodes spanning 15 minutes each and will feature not only on Nick Jr. but on their new rebranding for Noggin as a subscription service.  Yes, beware of Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and most importantly Po in the upcoming months.

Finally, Nick will their own set of Comic-Con panels for Comic-Con International this year.  Spongebob, as well as Sanjay and Craig, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will have their panels during the convention.  These panels promise live table reads as well as Q&A for the audience members.
