Toonami announces Mitchiko and Hatchin and Akame ga Kill

Toonami during their MomoCon panel announced that they acquired Mitchiko and Hatchin for broadcast.  The series, dubbed and acquired by Funimation will air on June 20th.  The series directed by Sayo Yamamoto and written Takashi Ujita had Shinichiro Watanabe helm the production aspects of the series while Manglobe animated the feature.  The series features the titular characters attempts to find a mysterious man that runs through both of their lives as they while running away from the police as well as Hatchin’s foster parents.   The series came out on in the fall of 2009 with Funimation acquiring the show in 2012.

Akame ga Kill acquired by Sentai Filmworks will also debut on the block on August 8th. Akame ga Kill was a fall 2014 Television streamed on Crunchyroll and acquired by Sentai Filmworks in the same time frame.  This series will be the first time Sentai Filmworks has a show on the block as well.  Akame ga Kill adapts the manga story made by Takahiro and illustrated by Tetsuya Tashiro of Tatstumi joining the Night Raid.  Tatsumi with the Night Raid work to restore balance to the capital that harms its citizens and ruled by the corrupt Prime Minister Honest.
