Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off, Rotoscoped

by AJ Adejare

Look, I don’t like Taylor Swift at all.  The reason why I even post this music video is because it’s rotoscoped.  This music video had 2,767 rotoscoped frames and varies in art style that even makes me think “hey that’s cool on a technical side”. The Plasmatic Research Laboratory at the University of Newcastle Australia had 49 students take 52 frames to animate the sequence, and the most interesting part is that this project is a first year student class.  Give it a watch, and then tell me how Taylor Swift makes you feel.
