The long running Simpsons may lose one of their prolific voice actors. Harry Shearer, who voices the characters of Mr. Burns and Ned Flanders, recently declined on a new contract causing him to miss out on the next two seasons of the Simpsons. His reason: he also wants to do outside work. He states that “This because I wanted what we’ve always had: the freedom to do other work. Of course, I wish him the very best.” These negotiation contracts can keep going but time to have Shearer in the next season is drawing shorter.
To emphasize just how big the loss would be:
Shearer is the 2nd most used actor in the season and not only could the series lose Flanders and Burns but Dr. Hubbert and Lenny as well.
Hopefully the contract disputes will be done with as quickly as possible.
