While Avengers: Age of Ultron is making millions in the box office, one thing seems to stand out from all of the success: Where’s the Black Widow Merchandise?
MTV decided to investigate a lot of the issue surrounding the merchandise for Black Widow as well as female merchandising for Marvel in general. While major retailers seem reluctant to endeavor into acquiring the merchandise, multiple clothing companies took up the mantle of producing products featuring women and made for women with good financial success.
To be blunt we need more merchandise that caters towards all aspects because at the end of the day fandom of any type should not be isolated to one gender, race, etc. but rather shared with everyone.
