For many, Asian animation starts and ends with Japanese animation. However, other countries such as South Korea are starting to make a name for themselves, likewise with Taiwan. Meniscus recently reviewed a Taiwanese animation called Mida. Created by Chang Yung-chang, the animation came out in 2013 to international festivals billing itself as “Made in Tawain”. The reviewer was not keen on the film as the plot as well as the animation felt subpar to them.
